Emberfall Legacy

Emberfall Legacy is the offline RPG I keep recommending to friends who miss old handheld classics. You build a small party, explore hand-drawn regions, and fight in a clean turn-based system where positioning actually matters.

The writing carries it. Side characters get real arcs, and choices in dialogue nudge how encounters play out later. Combat rewards planning over grinding, which I appreciated on a phone where I don't want to tap the same skill a hundred times.

Everything saves locally and there's no energy timer nagging you to come back. You play when you want, for as long as you want. That alone puts it above half its competition.
